TEA FLAVORING IDEAS: Many people love the basic brewed taste of this tea, but there are others who would prefer to cover up the flavor. Here are a few ideas for flavoring your tea if you're loving the results but not loving the taste.

Add juice plus tea together - cherry, cranberry, etc. are strong flavors that naturally overpower the tea flavor. Stevia or other sweetners are appealing to some tea drinkers. Lime is a wonderful addition! Recently I created a new recipe that's both great tasting along with hiding the tea flavor! Mix your already brewed tea with apple cider ~ You won't believe how great it tastes! This is a great way to change the flavor up if you're not crazy about the earthy taste, and you can still experience the incredible results!

GUIDELINES for Using Pau d'Arco Tea with Children and Animals:

CHILDREN: Ages 4-8: 1 oz./day for 7 days; 2 oz./day for 7 days, gradually reaching maintenance amount of 4-6- oz. per day.

Ages 9-13: can start with twice the amount and progress as cited above.
Ages 13+: can gradually approach adult guidelines cited on tea label.

ANIMALS can benefit greatly from this tea! Dogs will usually drink it when it's added to their water bowl. A general guideline is (1/2 ounce - 1 ounce) per 10 lbs.

However, cats are not as likely to drink tea water, and may need to have it given by dropper form directly into their mouth.

If the animal has any external fungus, bacteria, tumor, etc. you can also soak a cloth with the tea and apply directly onto the skin/affected area along with giving the tea in the drinking water. Since it's such a powerful anti-inflammatory, older dogs have an immediate response to the tea. When you remove inflammation in the body it relieves pain. We've actually seen some dogs go from lying around to being playful and active again, within just a few days after starting the tea.. It's truly remarkable!

We've definitely seen some great results using this tea with animals!
